What is Skribbl.io?
Skribbl.io is online Pictionary. Each round one player picks a word and draws it on a shared canvas while everyone else types guesses into the chat. The faster you guess, the more points you get, and the drawer scores when people get it right. After the set number of rounds, the player with the most points wins.
It became one of the go-to party games during the 2020 lockdowns, because it needs nothing more than a link: start a private room, paste the invite into Zoom or Discord, and everyone is playing in seconds. The site is run by a developer who signs off as Mel. Private rooms let you set 2 to 20 players, 1 to 10 rounds, draw times from 15 to 240 seconds, hints, and your own custom word list, which is where most of the laughs come from.
