What is WikiTok?
WikiTok turns Wikipedia into an endless vertical feed. Each screen shows a random article with a picture, title and short excerpt. Swipe up for the next one, or tap through to read the full article on Wikipedia.
Developer Isaac Gemal built the first version on February 3, 2025, after a viral post from Tyler Angert asked for 'all of wikipedia on a single, scrollable page'. He started at 12:30 am and had a prototype online by 2 am with help from Claude and Cursor. It spread fast and was covered by the Washington Post, Fast Company and Popular Science as an 'anti-algorithm' answer to doomscrolling, since there is no recommendation engine, just random articles.
