What is Museum of Ages?

Museum of Ages is a free digital museum you visit in your browser. Each wing rebuilds one real place at one moment in 3D, and a visit is a guided walk from stop to stop, with a picture, machine, book or place in front of you and a short text about it.

The first wing is about Leonardo da Vinci. The 17-stop tour shows his paintings close to their real size, 15 of his machines rebuilt in code, 29 anatomy sheets and 207 manuscript pages on a virtual reading table, many with translations, and then his last house at Clos Lucé in Amboise. Every stop is labelled documented, reconstructed, conjectural or not known, and you can open its sources.

It is made by ChipMates gemeinnützige GmbH, a nonprofit in Germany, and is open source with no tracking cookies. It was a Show HN in October 2026, and more wings, such as a dinosaur size comparison, are in the making.
