What is How Random Are You??
How Random Are You? is a free game that tests how unpredictable you really are. You say numbers from 1 to 9 out loud, or type them, as randomly as you can. Before each number the "house" seals its guess in an envelope, then opens it when you answer, and a split-flap board shows how far ahead of chance it is.
The house runs ten small predictors at once and trusts whichever has been right lately. Some count which number tends to follow which, some track your steps up and down, and one notices the numbers you have not said for a while, because people keep reaching for the ones they have neglected. It starts from data collected in a psychology study and adapts to you as you go. At the end, your ticket compares you with people from that study.
Speech recognition runs inside your browser: a speech pack of about 31 MB downloads once and your audio never leaves the page. It was made by Shaun Pedicini and was a popular Show HN in October 2026.
