Daydream is a chat-based AI fashion search that finds clothes from top brands from a text, voice or photo request, for online shoppers. It was founded in 2023 by Julie Bornstein, former CEO of The Yes and an executive at Stitch Fix and Nordstrom, and launched publicly on June 25, 2025. The company raised a $50 million seed round from investors including Forerunner, Index Ventures, GV and True Ventures.
Instead of filters and keyword search, you describe what you want the way you would to a stylist, such as a blazer for a Monday board meeting or a wedding guest dress under a budget. Daydream searches more than 2 million products from fashion brands and learns your preferences. In September 2026 it added Apple Intelligence features, including Siri search and shopping the outfits saved in your camera roll. Shoppers use it to find specific items, build outfits for an occasion, compare options at different price points and discover new brands they would not have found through a regular store search.
