What is Line Rider?

Line Rider is a simple physics toy. You draw lines with a pencil, press play, and a small rider on a sled slides along them. Make the slope too steep or the jump too long and he flies off and crashes. There is no score and no goal, so the game is whatever you make it: a smooth run, a huge loop or a track timed to music.

It started in 2006 as a Flash toy by Slovenian student Boštjan Čadež and became one of the big viral hits of the mid-2000s, with elaborate rider tracks racking up views on early YouTube. The current official browser version at linerider.com was rebuilt in HTML5 by Conundrumer, so it runs on modern browsers on desktop and mobile without Flash. Its Wikipedia page traces the history if you want the full story.
