What is Floor796?
Floor796 is one enormous looping animation of the 796th floor of a space station in the future. Every corner is busy with characters from films, TV, video games, anime and memes, all drawn and animated in the same style and going about their business side by side.
Belarusian developer and artist Pavel Sannikau started it in 2018 and has built almost all of it himself as a hobby, adding new sections over the years. He even wrote his own animation software for it, which Cartoon Brew covered in a feature. The scene now holds thousands of characters, and TikTok clips of people hunting for their favourites keep sending new visitors.
