What is Bruno Simon's Portfolio?

Bruno Simon is a French creative developer, and his portfolio is not a page you scroll but a world you drive through. You steer a small car around a 3D landscape, knock things over and bump into signs that open his projects. The first version became one of the most shared developer portfolios online, drawing more than 400,000 visitors at launch and winning Awwwards recognition.

After five years he rebuilt it from scratch and shared the work in devlogs. The current version runs on Three.js with WebGPU and a WebGL fallback, with Rapier physics. It adds a timed circuit, achievements, weather and day cycles, and Whispers, short public messages other visitors leave in the world. The code and Blender files are open source under the MIT license, and the repo has nearly 2,000 stars on GitHub.

What You Can Do

  • Drive a toy car with keyboard, touch or a gamepad
  • Boost, jump and crash into objects with real physics
  • Race a timed circuit and unlock achievements
  • Read and leave Whispers for other visitors
  • Open source code and Blender files on GitHub
