What is ClickClickClick?
ClickClickClick is a browser game about online profiling. The page shows a single green button and a line of text. As soon as you move, a narrator starts describing what you are doing, in the flat voice of a lab report: the subject has moved to the bottom left of the window, the subject has clicked the button. Every behaviour you show unlocks a new achievement.
It was made in 2016 by Amsterdam design studio Moniker with Studio Puckey and Dutch broadcaster VPRO's Medialab. The aim is to make you aware, in a funny way, of how much a website can track about you without asking. Players have collectively unlocked millions of achievements, and the game got coverage from It's Nice That, HuffPost and Laughing Squid. It is funny, a little creepy, and surprisingly hard to stop playing.
