What is Candy Box 2?
Candy Box 2 is a cult browser game by the French developer aniwey, the sequel to the original Candy Box. Everything is drawn with text characters, and it starts with almost nothing on the screen except a counter of candies going up.
You can eat candies or throw them on the ground, but soon you can spend them, and that opens up a whole world: a village, quests, weapons, a cauldron for potions and strange characters to meet. Half the fun is discovering how much is hidden behind such a simple start, so it is best played without reading spoilers.
