What is AudioPen?
AudioPen is a voice-to-text app that turns rambling voice notes into clear, structured writing in the style you choose. It was built by indie maker Louis Pereira, was Product of the Day on Product Hunt in May 2023 and says it has more than 200,000 users.
AudioPen does more than transcribe. After you speak, it rewrites your words into a clean note, email, memo or list of bullet points, and you can set how heavily it edits, from light cleanup to a full rewrite. You can speak in one language and get the text in another, create your own writing styles, and combine several notes into one piece. It works on the web, iOS, Android, Mac, Windows, a Chrome extension and Apple Watch, and its voice typing can write straight into Gmail, Slack or Notion. People use it for journaling, drafting posts, capturing ideas on walks and writing emails without typing.
