What is Yamanote.fun?
Yamanote.fun recreates the sound of riding Tokyo's Yamanote Line all the way around. It weaves the station melodies, door chimes, announcements and train ambience of all 30 stations into one continuous journey, at twice the speed of the real train, so a full loop takes about 30 minutes.
You can ride the outer loop clockwise or the inner loop anticlockwise, and each direction has its own melodies. Station names can be shown in English or Japanese, and you can save every track for offline listening. It is based on the ekimero melody archive and was a popular Show HN in 2026.
