What is Bongo Cat?
Bongo Cat is a web toy based on the 2018 meme of a simple cartoon cat tapping on bongos. Each key you press makes the cat hit a drum or play a note, so you can bash out a rhythm or a tune and see the cat keep up with you.
The site was built by Eric Huber, with cat art by @StrayRogue and the original meme by @DitzyFlama. It covers more than bongos: number keys play a piano, the top letter row plays a marimba, and other keys trigger a cymbal, cowbell and tambourine. Space makes the cat meow. It has stayed a go-to link whenever the meme comes back around.
