What is AllTrails?
AllTrails is one of the most popular apps for finding outdoor routes. It lists hiking, running, biking and walking trails around the world, each with a map, distance, elevation gain, difficulty and estimated time, plus reviews and photos from people who walked it recently. You can filter by length, difficulty, dog friendliness and more.
While you are out, the app can record your activity and show where you are on the trail. Paid memberships add offline maps, wrong-turn alerts and live location sharing, and the top Peak tier adds tools such as custom route building and detailed trail conditions. AllTrails works on the web and in apps for iPhone and Android.
