What is Wav?
Wav is an AI music generator. You type a prompt such as "R&B with female vocals about Los Angeles" and it writes and produces a full song, with lyrics and vocals, in seconds. You can also ask for an instrumental, write your own lyrics, or upload an audio file and have Wav remix, extend or edit it. Beyond songs, it makes sound effects and text to speech.
Wav is the new name of MusicGPT. The banner on wav.com reads "MusicGPT is now Wav.com", and the company behind it, Wav Ltd, is based in Singapore. It says its model is trained on licensed material, and it has a library of tracks you can download and use in your own projects. There are apps for iPhone and Android as well as the website, and an API for developers.
