What is Magenta Studio?
Magenta Studio is a collection of music tools built on Magenta, the open-source research project from Google that explores machine learning for music and art. Version 2.0 runs as a MIDI plugin inside Ableton Live, so the AI works directly on the clips in your Session View.
There are five tools. Continue extends a melody or drum pattern, Generate creates new phrases from scratch, Interpolate blends between two clips, Groove adds a human feel to quantised drums, and Drumify builds a drum part that fits a rhythm you already have. It is aimed at producers who want fresh ideas without leaving their DAW.
