What is Simplenote?
Simplenote is a lightweight notes app made by Automattic, the company behind WordPress.com. It focuses on fast, plain-text notes that sync automatically between devices, without folders, formatting toolbars or plugins getting in the way.
You organise notes with tags and find them with instant search. Every change is saved, so you can step back through earlier versions. Notes can be shared with others, published to the web, or written in Markdown with a preview. It runs on iOS, Android, Mac, Windows, Linux and the web, and the apps, syncing, backups and sharing are all free.
