What is PokeMMO?
PokeMMO is a free fan-made online game that turns the classic Pokémon games into an MMO. You explore the regions, catch and train Pokémon and take on gyms as in the originals, but the world is shared with other players you can battle, trade and team up with.
It has five regions to explore, from Kanto to Unova, and you can travel between them in one game. It runs as a downloaded app on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and iOS, and it is regularly updated, with seasonal events such as a Halloween update.
PokeMMO does not include the original games. To play, you need a free account and a ROM of Pokémon Black or White that you have the legal right to use; FireRed, Emerald, Platinum and HeartGold or SoulSilver add their regions. The team will not supply ROMs. It is not affiliated with Nintendo or The Pokémon Company.
