Marketing Skills is Corey Haines' library of about 50 agent skills for the marketing side of a product: conversion rate optimisation for pages, signups, onboarding, popups and paywalls; copywriting, copy editing, cold email and lifecycle email; technical SEO audits, AI search optimisation, schema markup and programmatic SEO; plus ads, analytics, pricing, launches, referrals, churn prevention and sales enablement. Each skill is a Markdown file with frameworks and checklists the agent applies when your request matches.
The skills share one foundation. A product-marketing skill writes a context document about your product, audience and positioning, and every other skill reads it first, so copy, pages and campaigns stay consistent without re-explaining your business each time. A tools/ folder adds integration guides and small zero-dependency Node scripts for around 70 marketing services (email platforms, CRMs, analytics, SEO data), which your agent can call with your own API keys.
The repository is MIT-licensed and has about 53,700 stars and 49 contributors. It installs into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Windsurf and other agents that read the Agent Skills format. Haines runs a conversion agency, and the project is funded partly by paid, disclosed tool partners, which is worth knowing when a skill mentions a specific product.

Who it is for
Founders, technical marketers and developers who already work in a coding agent and want it to write landing page copy, audit SEO, plan experiments or set up tracking with proven frameworks rather than generic advice.
Getting started
1. Install all skills with the npx skills installer
npx skills add coreyhaines31/marketingskills2. Or only the ones you need
npx skills add coreyhaines31/marketingskills --skill cro copywriting3. Claude Code: add the marketplace
/plugin marketplace add coreyhaines31/marketingskills4. Claude Code: install the plugin
/plugin install marketing-skillsThe /plugin commands are typed inside an interactive Claude Code session, not a shell. If you run npx skills from inside an agent session, add -a claude-code so the files land where Claude Code reads them.
Safety scan
We cloned coreyhaines31/marketingskills at commit b9ba399 on Oct 8, 2026 and ran the checks described on the GitHub Tools page: credential patterns, decode-and-execute code, install-time scripts, committed binaries, risky CI workflows, every host the code talks to, known vulnerabilities in pinned dependencies, and project hygiene. A person read every hit. This is what we found.
- No secrets, no suspicious code patterns, no committed binaries, no installer scripts, no hooks and no lockfiles across 541 files and about 96,000 lines, mostly Markdown. A second, skill-specific pass for invisible Unicode, prompt-injection phrases, exfiltration hosts, credential paths and long base64 found nothing malicious.
- The long list of external hosts (LinkedIn, Mailchimp, SendGrid, Apollo, Ahrefs, Clearbit, Amplitude and many more) comes from tools/: integration guides and small Node scripts that call each service's API with a key you set in your environment. They only run when your agent uses them, and most support a dry-run flag that prints the request instead of sending it.
- The project is funded by Verified Partners, paid tool vendors listed in tools/REGISTRY.md and marked in the README. The project's rules say partners are listed alongside neutral options and never change what the core skills recommend, but readers should know that some tool mentions are sponsored.
- One partner guide, tools/integrations/ploy.md, tells you to install the Ploy CLI with curl -fsSL https://ploy.ai/install.sh | sh. That is a third-party installer; read it before running it.
- Five workflows, none using pull_request_target. Licence and contributing guide present; no security policy, Dependabot or CodeQL.
What the scanner counted
| Check | Result |
|---|---|
| Secrets | None found. |
| Suspicious code | None found. |
| Install-time code | None: nothing runs at install beyond the package manager itself. |
| Committed binaries | None. |
| CI workflows | 5 workflows. None use pull_request_target. 2 of 2 third-party actions pinned to a tag rather than a commit. |
| Network hosts | 40 distinct hosts referenced from source; most often api.linkedin.com, github.com, api.calendly.com, api.onesignal.com. No URLs to bare IP addresses. |
| Known vulnerabilities | No lockfile to check: dependencies are declared as ranges, so what gets installed is whatever is current on the day. |
| Project hygiene | Has licence file, contributing guide. Missing security policy, automated dependency updates, CodeQL. |
| OpenSSF Scorecard | Not scored: the project is not in Scorecard's weekly index. |

Questions
Is Marketing Skills free?
Yes. The library is MIT-licensed and free to use and modify. You still need an AI agent such as Claude Code, Codex or Cursor under its own pricing, and any marketing tool the skills connect to (an email platform, an SEO data provider) is billed by that vendor under your own account.
Are the tool recommendations sponsored?
Some tools are paid partners. They are marked as Verified Partners in the README and in tools/REGISTRY.md, and the project's partner rules say they are listed beside neutral alternatives and do not change what the core skills recommend. Treat a named tool as one option, not an endorsement.
Where should I start?
Run the product-marketing skill first so it writes a context document about your product and audience; every other skill reads it. Then ask for the task you need, for example a conversion review of a landing page, homepage copy or an SEO audit, or call a skill directly with /cro, /emails or /seo-audit.
