What is Coconote?
Coconote is an AI note-taker that records or imports lectures and turns them into notes, quizzes, flashcards and transcripts for students. It was built by a small team that grew it to about 2 million registered users, and Quizlet acquired it in February 2026. The app runs on iPhone, iPad, Android, Mac and the web, and holds a 4.8 rating on the App Store.
Coconote works from many inputs: live lecture recordings, audio files, PDFs, documents, YouTube videos and links. Within seconds it produces organized notes and a transcript, then builds study material such as quizzes, flashcards, practice exams and study games. You can chat with your notes and even turn them into an AI-narrated podcast. It supports more than 100 languages. Students use it to keep up in fast lectures, catch details they missed, review before exams and study on the go.
