What is elect.horse?
elect.horse is a daily puzzle game about gerrymandering. The board is a map of hexes, each holding one voter coloured by party: the horse, which is in power, and its challengers, the cow, the donkey and the goat. The horse is losing the popular vote, and your job is to split the map into equal districts so that it still wins as many seats as possible.
Whoever has the most voters in a district takes its seat, and a tie gives the seat to nobody, so the trick is the same one real map drawers use: pack your opponents into a few districts and crack the rest so they lose everywhere else. It comes from the makers of enclose.horse, needs no sign-up, and reached the front page of Hacker News with more than 550 points.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is elect.horse free?
Yes. elect.horse is completely free and needs no sign-up. The daily puzzles, Unlimited mode, past puzzles and community levels cost nothing.
How do you win at elect.horse?
Draw equal districts so the horse wins the most seats even though it has fewer votes overall. A district goes to whoever has the most voters in it, so you pack rival voters into a few districts and spread the horse's voters to win narrowly everywhere else.
Is there a new elect.horse puzzle every day?
Yes. Each day has a Normal and an Expert map, and Unlimited mode deals extra puzzles any time if you want more.
