What is AutoSubs?
AutoSubs is a subtitle generator by developer Tom Moroney. It turns the speech in an audio or video file into timestamped subtitles using AI models that run on your own machine, so there is no cloud upload and no subscription.
It can label different speakers and transcribe or translate across a very wide range of languages. You can use it as a standalone app or connect it to DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro or After Effects to add subtitles straight onto your timeline. Results can be exported as SRT files, plain text or copied to the clipboard. It runs on Windows, macOS on Apple Silicon and Intel, and Linux.
