What 3DTuning does

3DTuning is a car configurator that works like a game. Pick one of more than 1,000 cars, trucks and bikes, rendered in photoreal 3D, and change almost everything about it: paint and finish, wheels and tyres, body kits, bumpers and spoilers, lights, suspension height and camber, even the engine sound. There are over 10,000 parts, some universal and many specific to a model, so a tuned car looks like a car someone could actually build.

Finished builds go into your garage. From there you can share them, enter challenges against other builders, and browse what the community has made. It runs in the browser at 3dtuning.com and as apps for iPhone and Android.

What it costs

The configurator is free, with no account needed to start tuning in the browser. The apps are free too; some premium models and parts are in-app purchases.

How to get started

  1. Open 3dtuning.com, or install the app, and choose a make and model.
  2. Work through the categories on the left: paint, wheels, body, suspension. Every change renders at once.
  3. Create an account when you want to save the build to your garage, share it, or enter a challenge.
